Treatments for Brain Cancer

Brain cancer is a disease of the brain in which cancer cells (malignant) arise in the brain tissue. Cancer cells grow to form a mass of cancer tissue (tumor) that interferes with brain functions such as muscle control, sensation, memory, and other normal body functions.

brain cancer

Cancers of the brain are the consequence of abnormal growths of cells in the brain. Brain cancers can arise from primary brain cells, the cells that form other brain components (for example, membranes, blood vessels), or from the growth of cancer cells that develop in other organs and that have spread to the brain by the bloodstream (metastatic brain cancer).

Causes of Brain Cancer:

There is no known cause of brain cancer. Extensive research has been conducted to pinpoint a cause to help prevent the cancer from occurring. Although there has not been very much conclusive evidence leading to a cause of brain cancer, the one thing that doctors do know is that brain cancer is not contagious and it does not occur due to head injury. There are known instances where cancer has spread to the brain from other parts of the body. (Lung cancer, Breast cancer, Liver cancer and so on.).

Alopecia Treatments | Alopecia Remedies

Alopecia is a medical term relating to loss of hair from the head or body, sometimes to the extent of baldness. Although alopecia can be due to aesthetic depilation of body hair, it tends to be involuntary and unwelcome.

There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body' s immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. With alopecia areata, hair can fall out in patches all over the body. With androgenetic alopecia, hair on the head thins and falls out.

Alopecia Symptoms:

The primary symptom of alopecia areata is roundish patches of hair loss on the head, with smooth, hairless scalp in the affected areas. Alopecia totalis involves the complete loss of all scalp hair, and alopecia universalis is characterized by the complete loss of all scalp and body hair.

Causes of Alopecia:

There are many different potential causes of alopecia. Hair loss temporary or permanent can be triggered by any number of factors. These can include allergies, irritants, toxins, burns, injuries, and infections. We also know that certain medications (especially anabolic steroids), chronic kidney failure, radiation, and chemotherapy can cause hair to fall out. Sometimes, hair loss may be due to a vitamin A overdose, iron deficiency anemia, a malfunctioning thyroid gland, fever, or pregnancy.

Alopecia Remedies:

* Mix a tsp. each of salt and black pepper powder with 5 tsp. of coconut oil and apply it to the bald patches. It will restore the growth of hair.

* In a deep pot soak few fenugreek seeds overnight, strain it and massage your scalp with the water. Follow this effective natural remedy for alopecia daily for at least 1 month.

* Onion juice should be rubbed into such bald patches regularly for some time. It will help the hair to grow again.

* Gently massage your scalp with egg yolk and allow it to stand for an hour and wash it with mild shampoo.

* Application of neem oil regularly for two three months at the bald spots helps the hair to grow again.

* Scalp massage with a mixture of essential oils like rosemary, thyme, cedarwood and lavender in carrier oil like jojoba or grapeseed treats alopecia effectively.

* Eating garlic is beneficial for hair growth.

* Take two tablespoons of honey mixed with one tablespoon of cinnamon and three tablespoons of olive oil. Apply the paste over the hairless scalp. Allow it to remain for twenty minutes before washing it away.

Hepatitis C Treatments | Hepatitis C Virus

Hepatitis C Information:

Hepatitis C is one type of hepatitis a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). It usually spreads through contact with infected blood. It can also spread through sex with an infected person and from mother to baby during childbirth.

hepatitis c

An estimated 270-300 million people worldwide are infected with hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is only known to cause disease in humans. No vaccine against hepatitis C is currently available.

hepatitis c

How it Spreads:

You cannot get hepatitis C from casual contact such as hugging, kissing, sneezing, coughing, or sharing food or water with someone. You can get hepatitis C if you come into contact with the blood of someone who has hepatitis C.

hepatitis c

Hepatitis C Causes:

* Blood transfusions and organ transplants before 1992. Improved blood screening tests became available in 1992. Before that year, it was possible to unknowingly contract hepatitis C through a blood transfusion or organ transplant.

* HCV can also spread through sharing contaminated needles when injecting drugs.

* A small number of babies born to mothers with hepatitis C acquire the infection during childbirth.

* In rare cases, HCV may be transmitted sexually.

hepatitis c

Hepatitis C Symptoms:

At first, hepatitis C does not usually produce any symptoms. When it does, symptoms are typically flu like and can include:

• Mild fatigue

• Achiness in your joints and muscles

• Nausea

• Lack of appetite

• Tenderness in the areas of your liver

As the disease progresses, symptoms may still not appear. When they do, they can include:

• Nausea

• Loss of appetite

Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes)

• Low grade fever (fever up to 102°F)

hepatitis c

Hepatitis C Remedies:

1. Milk thistle has not been found to have a direct effect on the hepatitis C virus. However, several studies have shown that the herb may help ease inflammation associated with hepatitis C, stimulate the growth of liver cells, and protect against damage to liver cells.

2. Preliminary research indicates that glycyrrhizin (a compound extracted from licorice root) may have beneficial effects against hepatitis C.

3. Hepatitis C treatments include taking lots of raw fruits and vegetables. Dark green foods, bitter vegetables, beets and red fruits are especially recommended, partly because they are high in fiber.

4. Another important dietary measure in natural hepatitis C treatment is to increase your intake of fresh juicy fruits and water in order to keep your body dehydrated.

5. Body building exercises are also recommended, though you should not overwork your body. Walking is the best exercise, especially when you conform to a consistent schedule.

6. A few excellent herbs include mushroom, milk thistle, peppers, burdock root, turmeric, green tea, artichoke and sun flower, amongst others. Remember, your body requires a well balanced natural diet and it is important to take in adequate amounts while avoiding excesses.

7. When suffering from hepatitis C, do the responsible thing by covering any cuts and other open sores you may have to prevent it from spreading.

Hepatitis B Treatments | Hepatitis B Cure

Hepatitis B is an infectious illness caused by hepatitis B virus (HBV) which infects the liver of hominoidea, including humans, and causes an inflammation called hepatitis. It can cause chronic liver disease and puts people at high risk of death from cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer.

hepatitis b

Hepatitis B information:

* The hepatitis B virus is 50 to 100 times more infectious than HIV.

* Hepatitis B virus is an important occupational hazard for health workers.

* Hepatitis B is preventable with a safe and effective vaccine.

* The virus is transmitted through contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person not through casual contact.

hepatitis b

Causes of Hepatitis B:

Hepatitis B virus is easily spread by direct contact with the blood or body fluids of an infected person. For example, hepatitis B can be transmitted from an infected mother to her baby at birth, through unprotected sex with an infected person, by sharing equipment for injecting street drugs, and by occupational contact with blood in a health care setting. Hepatitis B is not spread through food or water or by casual contact.

hepatitis b

* Breakfast should be heavy, and meals throughout the day should be small. This helps to cope with nausea.

* Take 100 mg of Thiamine (Vitamin B1) daily. Thiamine has been proven to reduce the severity of liver inflammation in patients with Hepatitis B.

* Avoid alcoholic drinks or it may damage liver further.
